The GLA Chapter is getting ready for our annual Awards Dinner, and we need Silent Auction items!

The GLA Chapter is getting ready for our annual Awards Dinner & Silent Auction!

Every year at our June dinner we spotlight members, colleagues, and business partners who have gone above and beyond when it comes to helping our chapter and our profession.

We also host a silent auction where guests can use ARMA BUCKS to bid on fantastic items.  Every guest, whether or not they are a member, can earn BUCKS by attending educational events, viewing webinars, volunteering, speaking at meetings and conferences, earning professional certifications, etc. The silent auction is a way to reward people for their hard work and commitment to the Records & Information Management industry.

We need your help!

Please consider supporting our silent auction by donating merchandise or gift cards. Past examples include gift cards for Nordstrom, Macys, and Amazon,; memorabilia from  Sunkist, Disney, and Sony; wine and food baskets; and even bicycles!

If you are unable to donate, please talk to some of the businesses that you work with! Every item will have the donor’s name on the bid sheet, so it is a great way for a company to show their generosity.

To donate, please fill out the donation form linked below. All contributions are welcome and appreciated!

If you have questions, please contact Christopher Johnson or Max Kleine. Thank you!

Our very first Vendor Spotlight is Zasio!

Every quarter our chapter will spotlight one of our generous sponsors by providing information on their products and services, as well as industry-relevant information that the company has published. Our sponsors help us provide resources and programs to our members and community. Without them, we would not be able to host low- and no-cost educational and networking events. Please help support the chapter and our sponsors by visiting the Vendor Spotlight page by clicking on the sponsor logo below.

Zasio has over 31 years of service in Information Governance. They focus on one thing: helping businesses not only get started in records management but maintain top-of-the-line Information Governance (IG) programs.

They have recruited a team of experts, including software developers and technicians, attorneys, analysts, Certified Records Managers (CRMs), Information Governance Professionals (IGPs), and Certified Information Privacy Professionals (CIPPs)—all in-house—who not only keep up with evolving IG trends, but who can also scale Versatile solutions to meet the demands of both customers new to records management and seasoned veterans. The team is founder-led by the same person who created the company 31 years ago, Kevin Zasio.

Call for Board of Directors Nominations

Dear Chapter Members:

It's time to begin thinking about chapter leadership for the 2019/2020 chapter year. If you are interested in helping ARMA GLA move forward and become even better, please consider stepping up to volunteer.  If you are passionate about Information Management, bring it to the Board!

Nominations are now open and will be closed as of Friday, May 17th. Voting, if necessary, will take place May 20 through May 31.  Once the votes have been certified by the Election Verification Official, the results will be announced.
The elective positions are:

Vice President

To qualify for one of these positions, you must be a chapter member in good standing. Additionally, to serve as President you must have served at least one year on the Board immediately prior to serving in this position.
If you are interested volunteering to help out the Board in any capacity next year, we want to know that too! Even if you only have one or two hours a month to spare, you can be a big help!

To nominate yourself or someone else for any of the elected positions, or if you are interested in one of the other Board positions, please submit a name and contact information to one of the Nominations Committee members: Chapter Past President Christopher Johnson or Volunteer Committee Lead Penny Kaufold.
