4/29 Event Cancelled, See You Soon Virtually

Dear ARMA-GLA members and friends,

As you may have anticipated or assumed, the ARMA-GLA event scheduled for 4/29, “The Impact of Emoji in Workplace Communications”, is cancelled. Cancelling was an easy decision considering the order from Governor Gavin Newsome and the California Department of Public Health to Stay at Home, but disappointing none the less. The GLA chapter board is working on a slate of virtual events to connect you with your fellow members and RIM experts, and continue to support your professional development while we keep personal distance. Stay tuned!

In the meantime, this is a great opportunity to explore the virtual resources already available to enjoy from the comfort of your very own social-distancing bubble. Here are some highlights.

You can access recent ARMA-GLA presentations on our website:

And ARMA-GLA chapter members have access to even more in the presentation and resource archive:

Check out the recording of OCARMA’s recent event, “Recharging Your IG Skills for 2020” with Andrew Ysasi, here:

The ARMA International events calendar is looking pretty sparse at the moment, but keep an eye on it - Other ARMA chapters are in the same boat as we are, and as they also pivot to virtual events, the events calendar is where you can get the scoop on how to attend:

ARMA already offers a plethora of distance learning tools, and now might be a great time to take advantage of this membership benefit:

Stay safe and healthy, we look forward to seeing you virtually soon!
